Milrem Robotics unveils UGV equipped with Hunter 2-S swarming drones

Europe's foremost developer of robotics and autonomous systems, Milrem Robotics, in collaboration with HALCON, has launched the THeMIS Combat unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). The advanced robotic platform comes outfitted with the HALCON HUNTER 2-S, a loitering munition drone boasting advanced AI capabilities for swarm coordination. This novel synergy underscores EDGE’s emphasis on integrating smart weaponry with autonomous systems. The THeMIS UGV, already a component of robotics programs in 16 nations, provides critical support to dismounted infantry units and boasts features like point-to-point navigation and obstacle detection. Meanwhile, the HUNTER 2-S drone has an endurance of 45 minutes and is capable of autonomous missions, including coordinated swarm actions and target identification, backed by a man-in-the-loop engagement system.
