UAVs Integrated into Spanish Navy Combat Systems
Alpha Unmanned Systems’ unmanned helicopters can autonomously take off and land on moving vessels with limited space, such as on a small deck
Alpha Unmanned Systems (AUS), a Madrid-based manufacturer, has successfully integrated its unmanned helicopters into the Spanish Navy's Combat Systems, particularly the BAM "Furor (P-46)." AUS's collaboration with the Spanish Armed Forces is evident through joint exercises, including past endeavors like REPMUS 2022 and the upcoming NATO Dynamic Messenger 2023. The primary objective of these collaborations is to bolster the role of unmanned vehicles in NATO naval operations. AUS's Alpha 900 helicopter stands out, designed for maritime missions and capable of autonomous takeoffs and landings on vessels with limited space. With features ensuring redundancy and compliance with STANAG standards, the Alpha 900 is ideal for various naval operations, including intelligence and reconnaissance. AUS's cutting-edge drones are already in use by multiple naval entities, including the Greek Navy and the U.S. Ministry of Defense. Moreover, the drones have been seamlessly integrated with Navantia’s NAIAD and GMV’s IRIS systems, promoting data interoperability across various UAVs and their operating environments. Eric Freeman, CEO of AUS, expressed pride in this successful integration and reaffirmed AUS's dedication to enhancing the operational prowess of the armed forces.
