Red Cat, Athena to Equip Teal 2 Tactical Drone With Machine Learning and AI

Puerto Rico-based military technology company Red Cat Holdings partners with Australia-based computer vision company Athena AI to provide a new solution for the Teal 2 military-grade drone.

Using Athena’s proprietary computer vision technology, the Teal 2 will be given the capability to recognize and track targets at nighttime. The technology is capable of distinguishing between ‘friend’ and ‘foe’ and will allow the drone to provide ‘rapid decision-making support.’
