Hydrogen-Powered Drone Launched for Defense & Commercial Use

Israel-based drone company HevenDrones launches its first hydrogen-powered drone - the H2D55. The use of hydrogen power is meant to address standing concerns surrounding uncrewed aerial systems’ (UAVs) challenges with flight endurance and payload capacity.

While the H2D55 is launching for commercial use, it is designed for global defense purposes including ‘extensive surveillance missions.’ It is built in with algorithms that support and extend the operating limits of the H2D55’s stable flight.
