Babcock Australasia, IAI partner on remotely piloted aircraft solutions

Australia-based defense company Babcock Australasia partners with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) on remotely operated aircraft solutions. Their new memorandum of understanding (MoU) notes that they will explore vertical take-off-and-landing (VTOL) capabilities for uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) operating in national security and law enforcement domains.

Babcock emphasizes the addition of autonomous capabilities into areas such as maritime surveillance as rapidly deployable and flexible. IAI, for its part, noted its interest in incorporating artificial intelligence and sensors into UAVs used for strategic and tactical purposes.
