Maxar Partners with Anduril to Power U.S Army’s Mixed-Reality Combat System
Maxar Intelligence has announced a partnership with Anduril Industries to provide advanced geospatial intelligence for the U.S. Army’s Soldier-Borne Mission Command Architecture (SBMC-A), a next-generation mixed-reality command-and-control system. SBMC-A integrates real-time battlefield intelligence into soldiers’ headsets, overlaying digital data on their field of view to enhance situational awareness, decision-making, and survivability. Maxar’s high-resolution, rapidly updated 3D terrain data will serve as the system’s geospatial foundation, integrated into Anduril’s AI-powered Lattice software to turn soldiers into connected nodes in a dynamic C2 network. The partnership builds on Maxar’s work with the Army’s One World Terrain program, with initial prototypes covering 14 priority locations and plans to advance toward full operational capability.
