Korean Air partners with Anduril to produce advanced military drones
Korean Air and U.S. defense startup Anduril Industries have signed an agreement to jointly produce and co-develop autonomous aircraft in Korea, building on an earlier MoU from April 2025. Under the deal, Korean Air will license-produce Anduril’s unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and collaborate on new platforms tailored to the Republic of Korea and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Korean Air, already active in defense UAS development through projects such as the KUS-FS MALE UAV and the forthcoming LOWUS “loyal wingman” drone, will combine its expertise with Anduril’s AI-driven command-and-control technologies. The partnership is part of Anduril’s expanding presence in East Asia, following its recent Taiwan office opening and cooperation agreements with local partners, including supplying Altius loitering munitions to bolster the island’s defense.
