Turkish defense company integrates AI into Naval Combat Management System ADVENT
Turkish defense technology company Havelsan is advancing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its ADVENT naval combat management system (CMS), completing Phase-1 laboratory testing and moving toward operational deployment on military vessels.
The integration combines Havelsan's Corporate Artificial Intelligence Platform MAIN with the Network-Enabled Data Integrated Combat Management System ADVENT, designed to enhance maintenance processes and operational efficiency for naval forces.
MAIN platform targets maintenance support
Havelsan has positioned its MAIN AI platform as a Maintenance Support Assistant within the ADVENT system framework.
The AI system provides natural language interaction capabilities for determining maintenance steps, searching maintenance instructions, and offering system-wide question-and-answer support.
According to Havelsan, the integration aims to make maintenance processes faster, safer, and more verifiable through AI-enhanced workflows. Phase-1 laboratory studies have been completed, with Phase-2 integration activities continuing across various systems.
The company plans to develop MAIN beyond maintenance support to contribute to operational processes, with AI-powered process management designed to become more intelligent and effective.
MAIN offers several enterprise-level features, including data privacy and security, role-based access and authorization, time- and cost-effective corporate solutions, and user-friendly interface design.
The platform can be trained with institutional data and operates efficiently on closed data networks or internet networks.
Built with a unique language architecture, MAIN provides ease and efficiency in corporate business processes.
The system is designed to support operators, make recommendations, and assist in decision support processes, with expectations for increased contribution to decision support in future phases.
