Autonomous drone truck delivers aid and saves lives on the battlefield

A Czech tech company, LPP Holding, has developed the Hornet, an autonomous drone truck designed for military logistics and field operations. This lightweight unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) runs on a hybrid electric engine and can carry up to 772 pounds, with capabilities including casualty extraction, ammunition delivery, reconnaissance, and emergency response. Measuring 9.25 ft in length, it features a fully autonomous control system capable of navigating unfamiliar and GPS-denied environments using lidar, object recognition, an inertial measurement unit (IMU), and environment segmentation systems.
