ELT Group launches KARMA: advanced AI-powered counter-drone system for military and civil protection
KARMA builds on the experience gained from the Group’s earlier C-UAS solution, Adrian (Anti-drone interception acquisition neutralisation), which has been on the market since 2015. The new system introduces significant technological advancements in response to the evolving geopolitical and military landscape.
One of KARMA’s key features is its radarless design, allowing it to operate silently in the electromagnetic spectrum. This ensures stealth and resilience, particularly in environments where traditional radar may be compromised or undesirable.
The system incorporates a Track While Scan function, which enables continuous 360° surveillance through an infrared camera integrated with AI processing algorithms. These capabilities are managed by an intuitive Command and Control interface designed to enhance situational awareness and operational efficiency.
“The real innovation lies in the Human Machine Interface (HMI), which implements advanced AI algorithms to optimise detection, recognition and identification,” the company stated. “This provides the operator with the most complete and reliable Local Air Picture (LAP) possible.”
