Leonardo, Baykar Technologies Team Up to Develop Unmanned Drones as Europe Rearms

Italy’s Leonardo and Turkey’s Baykar Technologies agreed to form a joint venture to develop unmanned drones, ahead of an expected increase in demand from Europe.

The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday, agreeing to work together on a wide range of unmanned aerial systems, from design to manufacturing and maintenance. The drones will serve military and civilian purposes, Leonardo said.
