
Boko Haram Terrorists Bomb Nigerian Army Base With Drones In Borno On Christmas Eve, Injure Many Soldiers
At least six soldiers have been confirmed injured after a drone strike by suspected terrorists on a military base in Borno State. SaharaReporters gathered that the terrorists attacked the Forward Operating Base in Wajiroko in the Damboa Local Government Area on Tuesday afternoon.
A soldier who witnessed the incident said they heard what sounded like a jet followed by a huge explosion. He added that the terrorists had initially attacked the base shooting sporadically but were repelled by the troops. A military signal obtained by SaharaReporters confirmed the incident.
The signal added that a gun truck belonging to the army was damaged after the terrorists used multiple drones to attack the base. It read, “AT ABOUT 231300A DEC 24, TERRS LAUNCHED ATTK USING MOR AND OTHER FIRE ARMS ON TPS AT FOB WAJIROKO IN DAMBOA LGA. TPS REPELLED THE ATTK, FORCING TERRS TO WDR IN DISARRAY.
