Japan and U.S. move closer to co-production of air-to-air missile

The U.S. and Japan will begin a feasibility study in the coming days to speed up efforts toward co-production of air-to-air missiles to shore up American stockpiles that have been depleted by the war in Ukraine. The two sides agreed during a meeting Monday in Hawaii to accelerate the study on co-production of the American AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM), a Japanese Defense Ministry readout shows.
