National Security: Nigeria military incorporates AI into operations
The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), says it has incorporated Artificial Intelligence into military operations to enhance National Security.
Director General, Army Resource Centre, Major-General Garba Wahab (retd) stated this at an event by the centre that brought together security experts, military, para-military officers and other professionals in the security sector to set boundaries in the development of Artificial Intelligence in military operations across the country.
Major-General Wahab who said Artificial Intelligence plays a crucial role in modern military operations globally explained that AI is applied in Autonomous Weapons and Weapons Targeting, Surveillance, Cyber-Security and Autonomous vehicles.
The Director-General of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre added that the military uses unmanned vehicles, drones and other modern equipment without necessarily causing problems or causalities in its usage for the benefit of military operations.
