Accenture to Support US Navy’s Unified Cybersecurity Environment

Accenture Federal Services has received a $789-million contract to support cybersecurity operations for the US Navy’s SHARKCAGE environment.
SHARKCAGE incorporates different systems to sustain a “single, common, and continuous” digital security perimeter across the agency.
The solution combines integrated commercial and commercial off-the-shelf software and hardware capabilities for defensive cyberspace operations throughout the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet, ONENet, and InformationTechnology-21 networks.
The deal will see Accenture provide architecture, design, assessments, delivery, production installation, and logistics services for the covered domains.
In addition, the company will supply additional afloat and ashore SHARKCAGE systems for the agency.
“The role of cybersecurity in modern maritime military readiness has evolved and expanded. Network interconnectedness is essential to protecting critical US defense assets and sensitive military data,” Accenture Federal Services cyber Practice Lead Rick Driggers stated.
“Accenture Federal Services will help provide US Navy fleets with the enhanced attack sensing and warning capabilities that these times demand.”
