SA opens Africa's first military AI hub

Artificial Intelligence, with its vast applications, is set to bring about a structural transformation in national security. South Africa now has an AI institute dedicated to the defence and military sector. Communications Minister Mondli Gungubele has officially launched the Defence Artificial Intelligence Research Unit at the academy in Saldanha Bay, in the Western Cape.
