
Nations discuss restrictions on lethal autonomous weapons

Experts from nations across the globe are discussing how to restrict the use of Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems, or LAWS, at a conference in Switzerland.
The meeting began in Geneva on Monday, amid growing concerns over what are often described as the "inhumane" technologies. Such artificial intelligence-driven systems are largely defined as being able to select and attack targets autonomously, without intervention by a human operator.
