L3Harris has successfully installed and delivered its VAMPIRE system to the Ukrainian ground forces, enhancing their capabilities to target and neutralize enemy drones while defending against ground threats. The system, designed to provide advanced reconnaissance and precision strike capabilities, integrates the WESCAM MX-10 RSTA targeting sensor with a weapons station for quick and accurate target engagement. VAMPIRE employs the Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System rocket, chosen specifically for Ukraine, enhancing lethality with L3Harris' proximity fuze for both ground and aerial targets. The U.S. Navy's swift deployment is credited with the system's positive impact in Ukraine, demonstrating its effectiveness in responding to evolving adversary tactics.
