Pearson integrates AI-driven explosive detector with UAV

Pearson Engineering has introduced Threat-Sense, a vehicle-integrated UAV system that employs artificial intelligence (AI) to detect ground-laid ordnance, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), anti-tank, and anti-personnel mines. The system enhances operational decision-making in the field by supporting the identification of threats to mobility, such as vehicles and dismounted soldiers. Threat-Sense, field-tested with various platforms, provides increased situational awareness to vehicle commanders and was evaluated and proven with NATO allies at the Suffield Research Centre in Canada. The system logs detected threats with unique identifiers, GPS markers, and timestamps, offering real-time networking capabilities. Additionally, Threat-Pathway, a scatterable mine clearance capability, has undergone end-user demonstrations and trials.
