New mortar AMPV variant prototype to make exhibition debut mid-2024

The 120 mm mortar variant of BAE Systems' Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) is set to debut at the Association of the United States Army's Warfighter conference in July 2024. The prototype, designed for Patria's 120 mm New Mortar (NEMO) and Kongsberg turret programme, is scheduled for first delivery in January 2024, and a live-fire demonstration will showcase its capabilities. This marks BAE Systems' initial step in expanding AMPV configurations, demonstrating the platform's flexibility, with the turret attached using the Ex-MEP (Mission Equipment Package) capable of accommodating various remotely operated weapons stations.
