The UK's Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) has launched a Themed Competition, "It's Good for Missiles to Talk" Phase 2, with up to £1.6 million (ex VAT) available for the development of novel technologies for cooperative missiles. The aim is to create missiles that can communicate with each other, share situational awareness, and coordinate during engagements while adhering to operator-set constraints. Proposals are invited for various challenge areas, including distributed target detection, data processing, enhanced navigation through cooperation, finding and engaging multiple targets, and novel missile communication systems. The competition is part of the Cooperative Missile Project, with the goal of enhancing the UK armed forces' capabilities.
