
US Army developing intel analysis, combat weather apps

The US Army is undertaking the 'Intel Apps' program, a software development initiative led by Project Manager, Intelligence Systems & Analytics (IS&A), to enhance the gathering, sharing, and utilization of battlefield intelligence at the tactical level. The project, managed by the Program Executive Office – Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (PEO IEW&S) directorate, aims to offer advanced software capabilities for intelligence tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination. The ultimate goal is to replace and surpass the existing intelligence systems and analytics software within the army's Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), providing a significant advancement in battlefield intelligence capabilities.
