Germany's F126 frigates to be equipped with Systematic's C2 software

Germany's F126 frigates will be equipped with Systematic's command-and-control (C2) software as part of the National Maritime C2 Service Bundeswehr (NMC2S Bw) project. The initiative involves integrating SitaWare Maritime and Fusion into the Bundeswehr's SitaWare Headquarters licences and installing them on the F126 frigates. The licences are expected to be available in 2024. Under a EUR4.6 billion (USD5 billion) contract with Damen Naval, Germany will receive four multi-purpose surface combatant frigates, with Thales Netherlands overseeing the integration and delivery of the mission system, fire-control system, and communications suite. The contract was awarded by DXC Technology Deutschland, responsible for managing the integration timeframes following a subcontract from Thales Netherlands.
