Published on November 21, 2023

Brazil's Mac Jee Group has unveiled the Anshar, an exploding drone prototype, amid increasing attention on loitering munitions, particularly in light of Russia's actions in Ukraine. Displayed at the Dubai Airshow, the Anshar has a range of 120 kilometers, operates at 612 kph, boasts a one-hour endurance, and can carry a 20-kilogram payload. Mac Jee designed the drone to destroy high-value targets at a low cost, with simple maintenance and easy operation. The company plans to demonstrate the drone at the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia in February 2024, with the official product launch expected in early 2025. Mac Jee, based in São José dos Campos, Brazil, exports the majority of its products to the Middle East.
