PteroDynamics' Transwing UAS demonstrates sea capabilities in US Navy

PteroDynamics has successfully demonstrated its Transwing vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial system (UAS) during the U.S. Navy's 4th Fleet Hybrid Fleet Campaign Event. The event, held aboard the USNS Burlington in Key West, Florida, featured nine autonomous launch and recovery demonstrations over a six-day period. The Transwing showcased its potential for ship-based logistics and critical maritime resupply missions, emphasizing its seamless integration into fleet operations. The VTOL aircraft's innovative folded wing design allows for high controllability and effective operation in challenging sea conditions, making it a valuable asset for naval applications.
