The U.S. Department of State has introduced its first "Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Strategy FY 2024-2025," a comprehensive plan to integrate ethical and responsible artificial intelligence into diplomatic practices. Championed by Secretary Blinken, the strategy aims to leverage AI to enhance various departmental operations while ensuring data security and preventing bias. Crafted by AI experts across multiple bureaus, the strategy aligns with federal directives on AI safety and sets four main goals: establishing secure AI infrastructure, promoting an AI-centric culture, ensuring responsible AI application, and fostering innovation. The strategy's execution will build on existing data initiatives, emphasizing interdepartmental coordination and the development of scalable AI solutions.
