QinetiQ presents on-the-move capability with Obsidian C-UAS radar

QinetiQ has developed an on-the-move (OTM) variant of its Obsidian Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) radar, featuring 360° radar capability, which is described as unique. The Obsidian C-UAS radar is operational in North America, Europe, and the UK as both a static and transportable system. It can integrate its 3D doppler radar with various systems to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The radar can be controlled or monitored from a vehicle, particularly from a civilian sports utility vehicle (SUV) using a tablet, ruggedized laptop, or larger C2 system. It is suitable for convoy protection and offers a range of up to 3.5km for larger UAVs.
