Published on November 1, 2023

The AMPV Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (CUAS) prototype, based on the existing AMPV vehicle family, showcases External Mission Equipment Package (ExMEP) enhancements, allowing rapid integration of future technologies and mission-specific equipment. The ExMEP's interchangeable top plate offers flexibility for quick integration of mission equipment, opening the door for turreted variants. The CUAS prototype features the Moog Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP) turret, common to the U.S. Army's Mobile Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) system, along with mission-ready command and control systems. The AMPV program, known for its modularity and adaptability, recently received a full-rate production contract in August 2023, reinforcing its role as a foundational asset for future battlefield capabilities.
