GA-ASI leads in UAS innovation – including counter-UAS too
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has introduced the Gray Eagle 25M unmanned aircraft system, designed for high-demand landpower forces such as the U.S. Army and U.S. Army National Guard. This advanced drone offers upgraded sensing, intelligence collection, onboard electrical power, and a modular, open-source support architecture, making it a versatile platform. Additionally, the Gray Eagle 25M features a unique capability - the deployment of a small unmanned aircraft called Eaglet, which can provide stand-in scouting, electronic attack, or battlefield reconnaissance. The onboard Eagle-Eye radar, developed by GA-ASI, enhances the system's ability for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, and live video imaging, allowing detailed classification of distant objects or targets. The platform's multi-mode radar capabilities enhance its versatility in various environments, from open ocean to inland areas. These innovations aim to keep U.S. Army soldiers at the forefront of warfare technology.
