Sierra Nevada Books $134M USSOCOM Contract to Provide Tactical Radio Software, Support Services

Sierra Nevada Corp (SNC) has been awarded a $134 million contract by the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to provide and maintain Tactical Radio Application eXtension (TRAX) software for the Program Executive Office for Tactical Information Systems Tactical Communications Systems. The contract includes maintenance, integration, training, aircraft demonstrations, and support for fielded TRAX systems. SNC's TRAX software aims to ensure radio communications interoperability for multidomain operations. The contract, awarded on a sole-source basis, has a minimum guarantee of $1.2 million, with work expected to be completed by September 22, 2028, and an initial funding obligation of $5.2 million from USSOCOM's fiscal 2023 operation and maintenance funds.
