NATO Exercises in Portugal Focus on Unmanned Maritime Systems

REPMUS 23, a major event co-organized by NATO and the University of Porto, showcased the testing and development of unmanned aerial, surface, and undersea vehicles. The exercise featured cutting-edge technologies like LIDAR sensors, hyperspectral imagers, and 3D holographic systems for collaborative development and interoperability. With the participation of 15 NATO nations and partner countries like Ireland and Sweden, the event highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in maritime advancement readiness, fostering partnerships between the private sector, academia, and NATO for guiding technology advancements and future work programs.
