Israel unveils new Barak tank with AI, sensors and cameras

Israel has revealed its new Barak tank, equipped with advanced technology including artificial intelligence, sensors, radar, and small cameras, aimed at providing superiority to its military forces. The tank, developed over five years, employs a concept of anti-fragility to offer flexibility in combat situations, allowing Israeli troops to excel on the battlefield. It features 360-degree peripheral observation technology, touch screens, and an operational application store for mission support, enabling it to swiftly collect and transfer critical information. The Barak is expected to replace the older Merkava 4 tanks by the end of 2025, with mass production underway and the first Barak brigade set to stand up in two years.
