Nigeria acquires BAHA and TOGAN UAVs from Turkey
Nigeria has further strengthened its military ties with Turkey by acquiring TOGAN and BAHA Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for use in reconnaissance, surveillance, and intelligence missions. The $36.5 million deal, led by Turkish defense company STM, aims to bolster Nigeria's efforts in counter-terrorism and border security. Turkey's Havelsan has also exported its BAHA UAV to an undisclosed African country, after exhibiting its capabilities at a defense exhibition in South Africa. This deal builds on previous Turkish exports of armed drones and other military hardware to Nigeria, underlining the growing security and defense cooperation between the two nations.
