Air Force releases ABMS CDN RFI
The U.S. Air Force has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for an Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Content Delivery Network (CDN), seeking industry feedback on the concept of using a CDN to support ABMS/DAF BATTLE NETWORK efforts. The RFI aims to assess the viability of commercial and defense solutions, challenges, costs, and suitability of the CDN concept, which will be part of the ABMS Digital Infrastructure. The CDN solution is envisioned to optimize warfighting activities by providing a data abstraction layer that positions data objects at multiple security levels closer to deployed and mobile nodes in theater, enhancing data distribution and access for military operations.
