Greece is exploring funding options from existing tools related to research and innovation, potentially involving the Demokritos National Center for Scientific Research and NATO's Defense Innovation Accelerator (DIANA) for advanced dual-use technologies. Israel's SIBAT, responsible for international defense cooperation, already has financial structures in place. Dendias' initiative seeks to make Greece a developer of its defense systems through collaboration with Israel's defense industry, with the goal of reducing reliance on imported armaments. However, bureaucratic challenges need to be overcome before progress can be realized.
