US C-sUAS office seeks industry whitepapers on counter-drone swarm capabilities

Published on August 7, 2023

The Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) Office (JCO) and Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) are soliciting whitepapers to gauge industry interest in showcasing fixed or mobile Detect, Track, Identify, and/or Defeat (DTID) capabilities against coordinated sUAS Swarm systems. The request aims to identify potential material solutions with promising technologies for addressing these swarm systems. Selected proposals may lead to in-person or virtual presentations, on-site analysis, and participation in the Counter Swarm Demonstration scheduled for June 2024, potentially resulting in prototype projects and informing further agreements or contracts. The overarching goal is to develop cost-effective DTID systems that integrate with Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control (FAADC2) systems, with a competitive solicitation encouraging various entities to contribute innovative solutions for accelerating critical technologies. The information collected will aid the Department of Defense in its acquisition strategy and development efforts, with respondents responsible for marking sensitive information and no reimbursement for submission costs provided by the Government.
