Sarcos Awarded Artificial Intelligence Contract by Air Force Research Laboratory

Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation (NASDAQ: STRC and STRCW) has been awarded an expanded contract by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to continue developing artificial intelligence (AI)-driven methods and techniques that autonomously control a Heterogeneous Sensing Network (HSN).

The collaborative sensing solution aims to enable the Department of Defense (DoD) to identify, track, and classify time-critical objects using autonomous, heterogeneous sensor networks and AI for improved operations, safety, data collection, and communication of autonomous platforms like Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Sarcos is forming a new Advanced Technologies division to focus on AI and machine learning (ML) software platform development for generalizable autonomy, allowing robots to learn from experience in dynamic and unstructured environments. The goal is to revolutionize how businesses operate in such environments and unlock new possibilities for efficiency and innovation.
