Turkey’s Baykar unveils cruise missile for drones

Turkey-based defense company Baykar unveils a new cruise missile for use by the firm’s TB2, TB3, and Akinci combat drones. The Bayraktar Kemankes, a ‘miniature,’ was on display at Istanbul’s Teknofest exhibition on April 27, 2023.

Powered by a jet engine and capable of flying a range of 200 kilometers (124 miles), Baykar claims that the Kemankes possesses an autopilot system that is supported by artificial intelligence. While the current price for the missile unit is not yet publicly released, it is expected to cost less than $20,000 per unit.
