Israel leads with early AI battlefield integration: 'The future of defense systems'
Israel is showing leadership when it comes to the onboarding of AI into its military operations. It is proactively looking to lead when it comes to the AI revolution and "the biggest game changer" for technology in warfare. Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett provides more details about what this means in concrete terms: It is a revolution in terms of the analysis of big data for intelligence gathering, but also in terms of military platforms, including operations with drones and autonomous robots.
Despite the necessity for each country to integrate AI to remain competitive, Bennett is also clear about the risks. While AI can be "incredibly useful for humanity," it could also be "very dangerous if misused." He therefore argues that deployment should go hand in hand with the organization of an ethical, legal and social structure, to ensure that the technology will be used for "the benefit of people and not the detriment."
