Israel’s Aeronautics to supply Orbiter 3 drones to Greece
Published on April 19, 2023
Israel-based defense company Aeronautics, which is owned by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Stolero Aeron, agrees to provide Greece with Oribter 3 uncrewed aerial systems (UAS). The agreement is a government-to-government contract.
The Orbiter 3 is ideally suited to intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. According to the Greek Ministry of Defense, ‘dozens’ of such drones will be provided through the contract. The contract notably emphasizes the Orbiter 3’s ability to ‘detect, recognize and identify’ targets. It also indicated that the UAS is integrated with Spike missile launches to ‘close the sensor-to-shooter loop.’
