Russia Testing Unmanned Vehicles Loaded With Anti-Tank Missiles

Russia is experimenting with new uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs) armed with anti-tank missiles in the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine. Footage posted on Telegram by former Russian space agency chief Dmitry Rogozin shows what seems to be the Marker UGV firing ‘Kornet’ anti-tank missiles.

This is consistent with earlier comments by Rogozin claiming new UGVs would be deployed into the Donbas region, particularly as NATO states send tanks to Ukraine’s Armed Forces. But, as military technology expert Samuel Bendett notes, the footage of Markers posted on Telegram occurred in conditions where the UGVs are unlikely to face future combat.
