Israel Approves Counter-Drone System Sale for Ukraine: Report

Israel approves an export license for the potential sale of a counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) to Ukraine. Jerusalem approved the license in mid-February 2023 as the government was reviewing its policies on the Russo-Ukraine war.

Israel has, until now, been unwilling to send military equipment to Ukraine out of concern for its interests in Syria which are coordinated with Russia. It now approves Israeli-based defense manufacturers Elbit Systems and Rafael to sell the C-UAS to Ukraine.  The two companies have proposed selling an electronic warfare system for drone neutralization, which Ukraine expresses some interest in.
