IRGC Obtains AI-Powered Unmanned Vessels

Iran’s  Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy has revealed that they have developed AI-enabled uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) capable of undertaking mass attacks with swarms of other USVs, and launching missiles while moving at 60 knots. 

The reveal comes from IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, who announced that his forces have obtained the vessels during a televised program. The Commander also detailed that another ship, the, “‘Mahdavi’ logistical combat warship  has been furnished with cruise missiles with a range of 300 to 750 kilometers,”
