
Taiwan unveils its new combat and surveillance drones as China threat grows

During a media tour at the Taiwanese National Chung-shan Institute of Science and Technology, reporters were given a rare up-close look into some of Taiwan’s indigenously produced surveillance and combat drones.
This followed after a Taiwan drone manufacturer unveiled five new types of drones in an attempt to boost their asymmetric warfare capabilities against China. One of the drones unveiled was the Albatross II UAV, “which is capable of conducting extended periods of surveillance and tracking naval ships over the sea using artificial intelligence.”
