Denmark seeks small drones able to operate in cold temperatures

The Danish Defence Ministry issues a tender for several ‘small drones’ for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and fire support operations. The initial purchases are anticipated to be around $107 million.

The order specifies a minimum of three drones capable of vertical take-off-and-landing and to each be equipped with ‘a synthetic aperture radar and a primary sensor package.’ The Defence Ministry is explicitly interested in the lowest temperatures in which the drones can operate and the role of remote, mobile human operation.
