UK MoD publishes first defence cloud road map

The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) releases the first edition of its ‘Cloud Strategic Roadmap for Defence'. The map ‘outlines the vision, deliverables, and outcomes’ in the creation of a ‘hyperscale cloud ecosystem.’

The purpose of the ecosystem is to lay a foundation spanning the entire MoD for future capabilities and technology adoption in areas including artificial intelligence, big data, analytics, machine learning, robotics, and synthetics. Several critical objectives outlined therein are expected to be completed by 2025.
