Blighter awarded contract from Raytheon UK for laser energy weapon system project

United Kingdom-based radar and surveillance solutions provider Blighter is awarded a contract by Raytheon UK to supply its Multi-Mode A800 3D e-scan radars.

The aim of the contract is to demonstrate the ability of Raytheon Technologies’ manufactured laser to eliminate uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs). Blighter’s radar is ideally suited for the project, as it is capable of UAV threat detection while operating within the parameters of existing command and control systems. A ground-based system, the A800 can detect threats from land, air, and sea.
