The United States and the United Arab Emirates conclude a week-long uncrewed systems and artificial intelligence integration exercise.
Operating in the Arabian Gulf, the UAE deployed five of its own uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) while the US deployed four USVs, including ‘two Saildrone Explorers, Ocean Aero Triton platform and an L3Harris Technologies-built Arabian Fox MAST-13.’ The US drones were operated by Task Force 59. The exercises were used to test the onboard cameras and sensors of the USVs to collect data on nearby vessels while using AI for identification and classification.
