Artificial intelligence aiding the space business across the board

Artificial intelligence is having a transformative impact on the space industry. Both commercial and defense applications of AI-enabled space technologies are being exploited by startups and established companies alike.
Machine learning and other AI technologies are being used to ‘plan satellite operations, run simulations and identify what resources are needed,’ says French startup Leanspace co-founder Alvaro Alonso Ruiz. US-based startup True Anaomly uses AI to build space wargaming and training models alongside its development of an ‘autonomous orbital pursuit vehicle.’ The US Space Force, for its part, is creating ‘realistic warfighting simulations’ with the aid of AI.
