Clandestine U.K. Program Developed 3D-Printed ‘Suicide’ Drone For Ukraine

The United Kingdom has secretly explored ways of rapidly developing uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) for use by Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia. Among the methods investigated is described as a ‘3D-printed delta-wing ‘suicide’ drone.’

UK-based defense company QinetiQ, working with the military’s Future Capability Group, cooperated in the development of UAS for the Ukrainian military. Capabilities explored within this project include electronic warfare and ‘suicide’ drone tactics. No armed drones have been confirmed to have been delivered to Ukraine by the UK.
